Company, Inc. Stops Production Of Talc
R.T. Vanderbilt Company no longer produces and mines talc
as part of its operations. Such talc products such as NYTAL and CERAMITALC will no longer be available from the Gouverneur
Division, but the Company will continue to mine and process wollastonite, (trade name VANSIL) at the Gouverneur facility.
R.T. Vanderbilt stated talc represented below 7% of their total revenue in 2007, in which production
volume has dropped from over 200,000 tons in 1988 to approximately 80,000 tons.
